Skin boosters

Injectable hyaluronic acid skin boosters for crepey, dehydrated skin on the face, neck and hands. Not volume; hydration and smoothness, planned as a short series.

  • A written series with the number of sessions and the price before the first.
  • Face, neck or hands, chosen in the plan, not added in the room.
  • From $649 per session, with a review at two weeks included.
  • Injected by a nurse or nurse practitioner; skin prepared and followed up by our aesthetician.

Why it works

The dose is the decision.

Make-up that sits badly is usually a hydration problem, not a wrinkle problem.

Skin boosters place very fine deposits of hyaluronic acid just under the surface, where they hold water and improve texture without adding shape. They are for the crepey neck, the dull cheek and the hand that gives your age away, and they are not a substitute for filler or a wrinkle relaxer. The plan will say which you need, and sometimes it will say none.

Camille prepares the skin in the fortnight before and looks after it in the fortnight after. The sessions are planned as a short series and reviewed at two weeks.

What we do, and what we do not

We do

  • Treat the face, neck, décolletage or hands as written in the plan.
  • Prepare the skin with Camille before the first session.
  • Review at two weeks and shorten the series if the skin has responded.

We do not

  • Use skin boosters to lift or fill. That is a different treatment and a different plan.
  • Treat skin with an active infection, eczema flare or recent resurfacing.
  • Promise a glow. We promise a written plan and a review.

Results vary from person to person. Nothing on this page is a guarantee of outcome, and a treatment may be declined if it is not right for you.

Who injects

Nurse Injector

Jordan is a registered nurse who injects under Dr. Marchetti's delegation and follows the written plan to the unit. He handles most wrinkle-relaxer and skin-booster appointments and every refinement visit on his own patients.

Medical Aesthetician

Camille prepares skin before injectable treatments and looks after it afterwards. She does not inject; she is the person who tells you what to stop using the week before a visit and what to expect the week after.

Stories

Written examples, not reviews.

Illustrative stories. Velvet Fern is a fictional studio; these are written examples, not patient reviews.

My neck. Two sessions. Nothing dramatic and that is exactly what I wanted.

Camille told me what to stop using two weeks before. That was the first time anyone had asked what I put on my face.

Questions people ask before they book

What are skin boosters?

Fine injections of hyaluronic acid placed just under the skin to improve hydration and texture, not shape. Products such as Skinvive are named descriptively in your plan.

Are skin boosters the same as filler?

No. Filler adds support and shape in deeper planes. Boosters sit superficially and hold water. The plan tells you which one, if either, fits what you have described.

How many sessions do I need?

Usually two, four weeks apart, then a maintenance session as needed. The plan sets the number.

Is there downtime?

Small bumps at the injection points are common for a day or two and bruising is possible. Most people go back to normal activity the same day; we will tell you what to avoid.

How long does it last?

Many people see the effect for six to nine months. Results vary.
